AI Visibility AiO for Shopify

Your customers stopped searching. They started asking.

An assistant answers from whatever it can read of your store. This app reads what you already wrote and publishes it the way assistants read: structured data, comparable attributes, a plain text page for every product, a live llms.txt. Written into your own Shopify fields, in your store. Three products free, no card, no expiry.

Free: the crawler check, the coverage score for your whole catalogue, and three products fully processed. Nothing expires. The check is free too, and installs nothing.

Three things you were told would fix this

Most of what is sold as AI visibility is a file, a scoreboard, or the same SEO with a new name. Here is what each one measurably does.

1. Classic SEO

Most shop owners assume that ranking well on Google means an assistant will find them and recommend them. The measurements say otherwise.

12%of the pages ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot cite rank in Google’s top 10 for the same question
8%for ChatGPT on its own. Four out of five pages it cites do not rank in Google at all for that query
38%of Google’s own AI Overview citations come from the top 10, down from 76% a year earlier. A third come from beyond position 100

Ahrefs, 15,000 queries across four assistants, July 2025; 863,000 keywords and 4 million AI Overview citations, March 2026.

The reason is mechanical. Google ranks pages. An assistant retrieves passages, then picks the ones it can quote. It rewrites your customer’s question into narrower ones, searches for those, and answers from whichever pages state a fact it can use: a size with its unit, a price, a delivery term, a material. A page with ten years of backlinks and no stated fact contributes nothing to that answer. A page with no authority and a clear, structured description gets quoted.

SEO optimises for the click: title, keywords, links, position. AI visibility is about the quote: whether your facts are readable, structured and complete. Two things SEO taught you still count, being crawlable and publishing structured data. The rest, backlinks, keyword density, where you rank, does not decide whether an assistant can quote you.

2. An llms.txt file

97%of llms.txt files received zero requests from any AI crawler in May 2026Ahrefs, server logs of 137,000 domains

This is what most “AI visibility” apps actually deliver: one text file at the root of your site, listing your pages. It is cheap to generate, which is why so many generate it.

Almost nobody reads it. Google has stated it is not required and has no effect on visibility. The file is a table of contents; it points at pages. If the pages themselves are unreadable, it points at nothing. This app publishes one too, linked to a clean text version of every page it names, because a few tools do read it. It is the smallest module here, not the product.

3. Asking ChatGPT about your brand

<1 in 100chance that ChatGPT gives the same list of brands twice for the same promptSparkToro, 2,961 runs, 600 testers, January 2026

The other thing sold as AI visibility is a scoreboard: a tool types a handful of prompts into ChatGPT, counts how often you appear, and calls it your share of voice. One screenshot of one answer is not a measurement. Even a properly sampled average tells you the outcome on a given day, for a given phrasing, and nothing about the cause, and it cannot change it.

What can be measured is the step before the answer: which requests AI crawlers actually made to the pages published for your store, by crawler, by day. That is what this app counts, it says exactly what it counted, and that is the number you can act on.

The market sells a file and a scoreboard. Neither reaches the reason. An assistant either has a fact to quote from your shop, or it does not. This app makes sure it does.

What it actually does

Fifteen things, each of which removes a specific reason an assistant would skip your store. All of them from your own words, all of them written into your own Shopify metafields.

01

Structured data that extends your theme’s

Price, availability, comparable attributes and shipping and return terms, added to the Product node your theme already publishes and referenced to it. On a theme that publishes none, the app writes the whole node.

02

Attributes read from your descriptions

Assistants build comparison tables from attributes, and an item with none never makes the table. Most catalogues already state theirs in prose. This finds them with a dictionary in your own language, with twenty trade presets to start from.

03

A plain text page for every product

At /apps/ai-visibility/your-product on your own domain. No theme, no scripts, no layout: the facts, the summary, the questions, and the collections the product belongs to. This is the page a crawler is offered.

04

llms.txt and agents.md, generated live

Built on request from what is published right now, never a file on a timer that goes stale. Every entry links to the plain text page it describes, which is what the specification asks for and what most generators skip.

05

An FAQ block from the product’s own questions

Dimensions, materials, capacity, options, delivery, returns and warranty, from what your store holds, published as FAQPage structured data. If there is no real answer, no question is published.

06

Your business facts, once

Delivery time and cost, return window, warranty, payment methods and your official social profiles, entered once and published on every product as buyer questions and as shipping and return structured data. An empty field publishes nothing.

07

Comparison tables on collections

Built only from the attributes that actually vary across the members, with a collection summary and the criteria a buyer would choose by. A theme block with zero JavaScript.

08

Alt text from the attributes

Every image gets a short, specific alt text written from the product’s own attributes. An alt text a human wrote is never replaced.

09

A crawler check that tells the truth

Eight AI crawlers by name: GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, DeepSeekBot, Applebot and Google-CloudVertexBot. Password pages, firewall rules and robots directives are each named with their fix. Free, unlimited.

10

The requests the app receives, counted

Every request an AI crawler makes to the text pages and the llms.txt the app publishes is counted, by crawler, on the dashboard. It counts what it serves, and states that; it does not guess at the rest of your store.

11

Per product editor with provenance

Attributes, summary, buyer questions, who it suits and alt text, each marked as read automatically or written by you. A manual override is never overwritten by a later pass.

12

A report with one real example

Coverage dial, the spread of attribute kinds, one before and after taken from your own catalogue, the worst covered products, and CSV export. Two toggles decide whether out of stock and unlisted products are published.

13

Nothing published for what you no longer sell

Unpublish, delete or rename a product and its text page and its llms.txt entry go with it, on every plan. A page for a product you do not sell is a false claim, not a feature.

14

Google Preferred Sources

A second theme block your loyal visitors can tap to add your store as a preferred source in Google. A plain link in the form Google documents, nothing loaded from Google. Off by default.

15

Yours, in your store

Every value the app writes lives in your own Shopify metafields. The app asks for products and themes and nothing else, which you can check on the install screen. There is no second copy of your catalogue to worry about.

On a real client catalogue of 189 products, every product yielded attributes: a median of 14 per product, 2,587 values across 26 families, from descriptions the shop had already written.

The same product page, before and after

Every value on the right is quoted from the description the shop already wrote. Nothing is generated, nothing is guessed, and the sentence each fact came from is shown beside it.

What the page publishes today

{ "@type": "Product",
  "name": "Espresso Machine E20",
  "image": "e20-front.jpg" }

No offer, no availability, no attributes. An assistant can name the product and nothing else.

What it publishes after

"offers": { "price": "449", "priceCurrency": "EUR", "availability": "InStock" }

What actually happens

  1. You install the app from the App Store and run the crawler check, then the preview. Both are free, both take about a minute, and between them they tell you who can reach your store and how much of your catalogue can be read. Nothing on your storefront changes yet.
  2. You switch on the app embed in your theme. This is the one thing the app cannot do for you, and without it nothing reaches the storefront.
  3. You pick three products and process them, free. Open their text pages, read the attributes and the questions, check the structured data. If it is not right, nothing else matters.
  4. When it is right, you subscribe and process the whole catalogue. Business facts once, dictionary terms in your language, collections with comparison tables. From then on, a product you edit is reprocessed on its own.

Nothing you wrote by hand is touched, and nothing is invented. Where there is no real answer in your own words, nothing is published.

Before any of that, it checks you can be reached at all

Firewalls and password pages block AI crawlers silently. Nothing appears in your analytics, nothing breaks, your normal traffic is unaffected. This was a live result on one of our own domains, same page, same minute, only the name of the requester changed:

Crawler check
GPTBot200 OK
PerplexityBot406 Not Acceptable
ClaudeBotconnection closed

Perfect content on a page no assistant can fetch is worth nothing, and no amount of writing fixes it. So the check runs first, on the free plan, and Diagnostics tells you what to change before the app publishes anything.

The free check

See what an assistant reads from your store

Type your address and the report arrives by email in about a minute. Nothing is installed, nothing on your store changes, and you do not need to buy anything to read it.

What the report tells you

  • Which AI crawlers can reach you, and exactly what each one got back
  • A readiness score, with every subtraction named so you can check the arithmetic
  • What is blocking, what needs a setting and what is one click away, each with its fix
  • How much of your catalogue an assistant can actually read, in numbers, and whether that is the whole catalogue or a sample
  • One of your own products, before and after, with the sentence each value came from beside it

The report is a page at a private link, not a PDF attachment. It is not indexed, and it is deleted after ninety days.

We store the shop address, the email address typed into the form and what the scan found, for 90 days, and then delete them. Nothing else is collected and nothing is shared. To have yours removed sooner, write to hello@mrdigital.ro.

What it will never do

No prompt sampling

It never asks ChatGPT about your brand and calls the answer a measurement. An answer that changes per person and per day is not a number.

No invented text

It never writes blog posts or product copy for you. Knowing which forty products are unreadable is worth more than a generated paragraph on each.

No access to orders

It never touches orders, customers or payments. It did not ask for that permission, and Shopify shows you exactly what it asked for on the install screen.

Free to check. One price a year to fix.

Free

Free no expiry

  • The crawler check, eight crawlers, unlimited
  • The coverage score for your whole catalogue
  • Diagnostics, every verdict with its fix
  • Three products of your choice, fully processed and published
Install, free

Standard

99 USD per year

  • Everything the app does, on up to 20,000 products
  • Dictionary, business facts, collections, the Report

Questions people ask first

Will this change how my store looks?

No. Everything it publishes is read by machines: structured data, a text page at its own address, an FAQ block. The theme blocks carry no JavaScript. The comparison table and the preferred source button appear only where you place them.

Does it work with my theme?

Yes. On a theme that already publishes a Product node, the app extends it. On one that publishes none, the app writes it. Either way, one Product node on the page. You switch on the app embed once, in the theme editor, and that is the whole integration.

What does it need access to?

Products, to read and write them, and themes, to read them. That is the complete list, and Shopify shows it to you on the install screen. Orders, customers and payments are not on it, so the app cannot read them.

Will it slow my store?

No. The theme blocks contain no JavaScript, only structured data. The text pages are served through the app proxy on your domain and are not part of your theme’s load at all.

What if I already publish structured data?

Then it fills in what is missing and leaves what is there. Values your theme or another app already sets are not touched.

What if my descriptions are bad?

Then the coverage score says so, product by product, and the app publishes less. It will not write descriptions for you. Where there is no real answer in your own words, nothing is published.

Does it guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my store?

No, and nobody can. What it guarantees is that when an assistant reads your store there is something accurate to quote, and the dashboard shows you the requests the app received for those pages.

Is the free plan a trial?

No. Nothing expires and nothing is taken away. The three products you process stay published whether you subscribe or not. The free plan stops at the fourth product and at the paid screens: dictionary, business facts, collections, the Report.

How do I know it worked?

Open /apps/ai-visibility/ followed by a product handle on your own domain and read what a crawler reads. Open your llms.txt. Run a product through Google’s Rich Results Test. The Report shows the coverage and one before and after from your own catalogue.

Does it work in my language?

Yes. The dictionary is plain text in whatever language your descriptions are written in, with twenty trade presets to start from. The interface is in English.

Which plan do I need?

Standard covers up to 20,000 products. Above that, High volume, which has no limit and priority support. Both are annual and billed through Shopify.

What happens if I cancel?

Everything the app wrote stays where it wrote it, in your own Shopify metafields. Nothing is withdrawn on cancellation. Billing and refunds for app charges follow Shopify’s own app billing terms.

Why one price a year and not a monthly plan?

Because the work is front loaded. An afternoon after installing, your catalogue is done, and after that the app reprocesses only what you edit. A year is the honest unit for that.

Can I see it before I buy?

Yes, on your own store. Install the free plan, run the check, process three products and open their text pages. That is the demo, on your catalogue, with no card.
